Number Twelve is a nod to the Bracket Clock of years gone by. The form was simplified for modern taste but retains the markers of a classic bracket clock with its handle and feet made of solid brass.
This clock has a "passing strike", which means that it strikes once at each hour. It does not count the hour, it strikes only once.

The case is made of figured maple with an ebony front panel. No stain or dye was applied to the wood. Instead the natural pigments in the wood were oxidized to provide the same effect that would be achieved if the wood were left untreated for a century or more. The finish is natural shellac. The brass bezel supports a domed glass and the dial sports brass keyhole surrounds. The eight-day movement provides a subdued tick, and the hour strike is similarly subdued to provide an unobtrusive timekeeper.
