Number Eighteen

The third in a series that features a Ceruse finish, this time a soft yellow on a red-brown ground.  The dial and bezel were chosen to provide enough openness to showcase the wood finish.

This form is fast becoming my favourite for a mantle clock, combining straight and curved lines.  It is designed to be the smallest reasonable  size of case that will contain the movement and chime.

This clock chimes a full count on the hour and a single strike on the half-hour.  The case is made of very old White Ash with Yellowheart inlaid lines, containing a quality movement made by the Enfield Clock Company of London.

Bezel is solid brass holding a domed glass.  Temporary brass-coloured hands will be replaced by suitable solid brass hands (on order).
